Reynolds School District proudly serves a beautifully diverse student population of more than 10,000 over five cities in the Greater Portland area - Fairview, Troutdale, Wood Village, North Gresham, and East Portland. Our students and families represent 105 spoken languages. The most common languages are English, Spanish, Russian, and Vietnamese. Each student brings a wealth of cultural knowledge and experience into the classroom allowing our district to flourish in the strength of diversity and multicultural perspectives.
Reynolds School District has negotiated furlough days with all employee groups to offset budget reductions, minimize potential reductions to programs and services to students, and minimize potential reduction in force (RIF) of staff for the 2020-21 school year.
Qualifying employees will have their hours and RSD pay reduced by 20%-40% to be eligible for unemployment and federal CARES Act funds through the Oregon Work Share program.
