Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator 

  • Ensure the institution complies with Title IX, civil rights laws, and other anti-discrimination policies.
  • Draft, implement, and review policies related to Title IX and civil rights to maintain a fair and inclusive environment.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff, faculty, and students on Title IX, civil rights, and non-discrimination policies.
  • Receive, investigate, and resolve complaints of discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct.
  • Coordinate and oversee investigations, ensuring processes are thorough, unbiased, and compliant with state and federal laws.
  • Foster an inclusive environment by promoting equity and addressing systemic barriers to participation.
  • Liaise with legal counsel, building administrative staff, and other relevant parties to address civil rights and Title IX concerns.
  • Maintain records of complaints, investigations, and resolutions while ensuring confidentiality. Generate reports for compliance and institutional assessment.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and best practices, updating policies and procedures as needed.
  • Lead initiatives to raise awareness about rights under Title IX and other civil rights laws.
