The 2017-18 School Starting and Ending Times are changing. We know time changes affect everyone so we are communicating this at the earliest possible opportunity.
Late starts will be held every Monday with bus pick up and school start times beginning 1 hour and 10 minutes later, allowing teachers in the same feeder school structure to meet together to improve instruction and learning for students. Data from this year show that there are less tardies and higher attendance on Mondays, so this schedule will remain in place for 2017-18.

In 2015, Oregon Community College Presidents and Oregon Public University Provosts agreed to incorporate Smarter Balanced (OSAS-English Language Arts and OSAS-Mathematics) test scores into their processes for placement into credit-bearing college courses. These agreements apply to high school students graduating in Oregon and entering Oregon’s 17 community colleges or seven public universities the following fall. The agreements were extended in 2018 to support continued improvement of score reporting.
For the next two years, students entering Oregon's 17 community colleges and 7 universities may choose to waive placement testing if they scored a 3 or 4 on Smarter Balanced assessments and met requirements for continued academic rigor during 12th grade. These new agreements were adopted in February 2015 and will be piloted for the next two academic years, starting with the graduating high school class of 2016.
