Verification of Teacher & Paraprofessional Qualifications

Hartley School qualifies for Title 1 federal education funding through the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. This Act requires that teachers and paraprofessionals meet state and local certification and licensure. The notices posted below provide information about the professional qualifications for staff at our school as of 04/26/2022 for the 21/22 school year.

Let's Have a Family Picnic!

Join us on Thursday, June 9th from 5-7pm to come together and celebrate or community! 

We will have hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, cookie and bottled water. 

We will also have free BINGO with prizes!

Along with FREE backpacks with supplies, Hartley Swag and books to give away. 

Some seating will be available, but chairs and blankets are recommended. 

Kinder Connect

Will your child be 5 on or before September 1st, 2022?

If so, please plan to join us at Hartley's Kindergarten Connect event on Thursday, April 28th from 4:30-6:00pm.This is a chance for your incoming kindergarten student to meet the teachers, see the classrooms and school.

We will have paperwork packets available that evening to register. Please bring the following with you:

Hartley Spring Picture Day

On Thursday, April 21st we will be taking school Spring Pictures. All students will be photographed on Spring Picture Day.  Please return completed and paid picture packets on or before picture day if you would like to order pictures. Families may also choose to pay online. 

Picture packet order forms were sent home the week of April 11th.

STAR WINTER ASSESSMENT

Great Job Hartley Hornets! Watch the video below to hear our principal, Dr. Pond, talk about how amazing Hartley students performed on the STAR Winter Assessment.

Teachers will be sending home students current Lexia Progress Reports in their backpacks and Blue Folders. The report shows your students current reading level and all the growth they have made this year. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or plan to talk with them at conferences March 16th and 17th.

FREE Thanksgiving Food Boxes

For Local families and individuals in need within Portland city limits only!

The Sunshine Division will have emergency food boxes available and/or frozen turkey kit (which includes a turkey and all the fixin’s!) at each pantry location for in person pick-up only the Monday prior to Thanksgiving on a first-come, first-served basis.
