Speech & Debate competed amongst 30 schools at Silverton High School last Saturday. Congratulations to Freshman Ku Dee, Freshman Ryan Perisich, Sophomore Jomei Woodruff, and Junior Miranda Valenzuela who were finalists in speech events. A special congratulations to Freshman Jennyfer Solano who won 3rd Place in Extemporaneous Speaking and to Junior Melanie Keang who won a 1st Place golden plate in Prose Reading and is halfway to State Qualification! Go, Raiders!!
The Raider Softball team travels to McNary High School on Monday, May 20th for a 5:00 game with the Celtics. The Raiders earned their way into the playoffs with a 6-2 play-in win over visitin

Friday May 18th and Saturday, May 19th, four Reynolds track & field athletes competed at Hayward Field for the OSAA 6A Track & Field State Meet.
At the conclusion of the Mt.
Pick up T-shirts, beverages and Raider swag at the student store. Raider Trader is open daily during both lunches. The store is managed by Student Leadership students. Proceeds are used to reduce the cost to students at events such as tailgates and Raider Rumble.

Raider Youth Football Wants You: Girls and Boys in Grades 2-7 during the 2012-13 School year (next year Grade 3-8).
Reynolds High School Athletic Department is now clearing athletes through FinalForms. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your student(s). The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible for your student(s), saving you time.
Two Reynolds students, Olivia Hall Gomez and Moira Salchenberg, competed at the SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference at the Oregon National Guard Camp Withycombe military base. Both students competed in the Job Skill Demonstration Open. Moira's demonstration of crocheting scored 5th place and Olivia's demonstration of porosity took scored 1st place. Olivia explained porosity (the hair's ability to retain moisture), identified types of porosity, how to test for porosity, and described how to select hair products for hair with a particular porosity. Head Dance Coach, Marlena Nunely, was awarded 6A Coach of the Year at this years OSAA State Dance Competition.

Congratulations, Troutdale Tigers! When we asked you to help us reach our goal of $10,000 you really stepped up. Together we showed our generosity and were able to raise $14,474. Truly amazing! These donations will provide a field trip for every student in our school, as well as classroom resources. PALS is also looking into school assemblies for this year.
