UPDATE: Measure 26-164 was approved by Voters on May 19, 2015! The Reynolds School Board has appointed a Citizens Oversight Committee and is seeking additional members. When the School Board approved referring the 2015 Bond Election to the Voters, they required the district to be accountable to the patrons by creating a required Citizens Oversight Committee.
In 2015, Oregon Community College Presidents and Oregon Public University Provosts agreed to incorporate Smarter Balanced (OSAS-English Language Arts and OSAS-Mathematics) test scores into their processes for placement into credit-bearing college courses. These agreements apply to high school students graduating in Oregon and entering Oregon’s 17 community colleges or seven public universities the following fall. The agreements were extended in 2018 to support continued improvement of score reporting.
Congratulations to Davis Elementary School for winning the second place prize in the Together Counts Healthy Playground Makeover Sweepstakes. Discovery Education and Playworld Systems Inc. were the sponsors.
This sweepstakes was open to all schools across the nation, but with the hard work of Davis Elementary's secretary, Summer Harrison, Davis was selected as a winner!

Saturday, Feb 4 is the Childrens Dental Health Fair from 10 am to 2pm at Reynolds Middle School on 201st, please Enter from the North Halsey Street entrance. This event includes lots of free health info and health screenings, such as immunizations, dental exams and treatment, hearing, vision screens, lots of goodies including lunch! A free raffle for a gaming system will also be held at the end of the event. The weather will be clear by tomorrow so the event is happening. See you there.
Starting February 16, 2017 to March 16, 2017 at 5:30pm to 7:30pm every Thursday there will be a Free Gardening Course. You can learn low cost ways to build your own garden and grow your own produce.
Where: St. Aidan's Episcopal Church: 17405 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR 97230 (course is taught indoors with visits to Nadaka Community Garden).
Who: Adults living on a low income ($1945 per month or less).
This summer there are over 400 free events in Portland Parks!
Events include: movies, concerts, lunch and play, swimming and more!

2018-19 Meal Benefits Applications are now available on our website! Please visit the Meal Benefits Application page to complete your application for the 2018-19 school year.
Families must re-qualify for benefits each year. Your last year's status is only good through 10/12/2018, so you will need to reapply BEFORE that date.
