District

The Center for Advanced Learning (CAL) will celebrate National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) with a Makers Go Pro Event. This is one way CAL and Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership (OMEP) are teaming up with various education, workforce and manufacturing stakeholders across Oregon to host free educational events, tours and job fairs for high school students to learn about careers in manufacturing. MFG Day is designed to expand knowledge about high-skilled, high-paying jobs in the sector and the industry’s economic impact in Oregon and around the country.

Marathon Scholars Logo

At Marathon Scholars we believe that higher education is life changing and should be available to all who aspire. The Marathon Scholars program is designed to identify students whose socio-economic situation may present them with profound challenges but who have great promise and untapped potential. The Marathon Scholars program model utilizes a combination of mentoring, college scholarships and enrichment opportunities to invest in these children early - in 4th grade - and help remove the obstacles they will face on their marathon journey to a college degree.

March/April construction update

Update from Bremik Construction
April 10, 2018

Hooray, it’s finally Spring! We hope you enjoyed your time off for Spring Break. Our team has been very busy at your new school! Staircases have been installed in the entry corridor, in the breezeway, and in area 3 classrooms. Fun Fact: Did you know that each of these steel staircases weighs around 12,000 pounds?! Roof top curbs have been set and the passive air shaft units have been installed. The curbs are for the HVAC equipment that supply the air and heat into the building.

Click here to see the full update (including a construction puzzle) from Bremik Construction.
