Hailey Burmeister (12), Softball – Hailey is a true leader on and off the field and always puts in 110% to everything she does. Hailey’s hard work and dedication has gotten her to where she is. She maintains a GPA of 3.77 while taking 5 AP classes, working a part time job and playing on two softball teams. She has dedicated herself to everything she does and is present at the place she needs to be. Hailey is the softball team’s top pitcher. She is pitching almost every game, hitting her spots, staying strong, working through tough umpires and/or bad weather and producing for her team. She has an Earned Run Average (ERA) of 1.8, forced 45 strikeouts and only given up 34 hits in seven games. As a hitter, she is batting .500 with 14 hits and 9 RBIs. The softball team is off to a great start of 11-0 on the season and Hailey is a big reason for that success. |

Alex Hendrickson (9), Baseball – It is rare that a freshman make a varsity team and Alex not only did that, but he is also playing a huge part in the team’s success this season. In the month of March, Alex batted .423 and had a .528 on base percentage. These statistics are impressive for any player at any level, but they’re even more impressive for a freshman at the 6A varsity level. Alex is one of the team’s starting pitchers as well as the starting first baseman when he’s not pitching. He currently has a perfect fielding percentage of 1.000 and he’s hitting in the “3 hole” in the lineup, which is usually saved for your best hitter. On the pitcher’s mound, Alex had a perfect 3-0 record for the month of March. Besides his successes on the baseball field, Alex is also successful in the classroom, earning a 3.30 weighted GPA. |
