The board recognizes the need to provide classrooms and other needed spaces which are safe and well designed for the effective delivery of instruction and related services.

When additional facilities are needed and financing is not available for permanent construction, the Board will examine all options available to provide the needed spaces which will assure that the primary task of educating the youth of Multnomah County will continue in an orderly and timely manner.

Any such facility must conform to all appropriate federal, state and local building and land use codes, health and fire laws, environmental standards and provisions for accessibility and usability as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
