The Ye Olde Gaming Club (YOGC) is a Dungeons and Dragons roll playing game (RPG) club that, since 2011, has been one of the largest clubs at RHS, serving 30+ students. Members assemble into “Campaigns” of 4 – 7 students who are guided by a “Dungeon Master” who sets the story, and helps to turn random rolls of the dice into fantasy adventure. Think The Lord of the Rings with students choosing to enact Frodo, Aragorn or Gandalf.
The Center for Advanced Learning (CAL) will celebrate National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) with a Makers Go Pro Event. This is one way CAL and Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership (OMEP) are teaming up with various education, workforce and manufacturing stakeholders across Oregon to host free educational events, tours and job fairs for high school students to learn about careers in manufacturing. MFG Day is designed to expand knowledge about high-skilled, high-paying jobs in the sector and the industry’s economic impact in Oregon and around the country.
