We are seeking your input as we plan next year’s school calendars. This year’s calendar included five additional planning days for teachers along with an extended Spring Break. Your feedback is important in helping us make decisions that best support our students, staff, and community.
Discrimination or Civil Rights Complaint Procedure
Any person, including students, staff, visitors and third parties, may file a complaint. Complaints regarding discrimination or harassment, on any basis protected by law, shall be processed in accordance with the following procedures:
Oregon law states that, "children who have reached their fifth birthday on or before September 1st shall be admitted to kindergarten." Reynolds School District allows the parents of a child whose birthday falls between September 2 and September 30 to apply for early entrance to kindergarten if the child's academic readiness, social, and physical development indicate kindergarten readiness.
Winter break will begin on Monday, December 22nd and continues through Monday, January 5th.
School will resume on Tuesday, January 6th.
Also, the school calendars for this school year have been updated to include six furlough days/no school days. The new calendars are attached to this message.
Key points to note:
Spring break will be extended by one day (March 30, 2026).
The school year will end one week earlier than originally scheduled . June 5, 2026 will now be the last day of school.
