This groups brings both Muslim and non-Muslim students together to practice faith and give back to the community.

PALS is selling student season passes for Mt. Hood Theatre. $9 admits a child into 10 films with 2 parents or grandparents (siblings, friends, and all other adults most have their own ticket that can be bought at the theatre.) You can not beat this deal. They can be purchased with cash or check in the school office during school hours while supplies last.
Mt. Hood Theatre season passes are now available in the Main Office! Passes are $9.00 each which will admit 2 parents or grandparents FREE with each child's ticket. The movies are as follows:
Coco, Wonder, Wonderstruck, Paddington 2, Ferdinand, The Star, The Stray, My Little Pony Movie and two Mystery Movies!
This is a fundraiser for the Troutdale Elementary PALS group and proceeds benefit the students of Troutdale Elementary School!
Join us every Tuesday from 5:30-7:00pm for a multi-cultural cooking club. We have volunteers who will share a recipe from their family or culture. Parents, community members and participants can sign up to host a class. If you are interested in hosting a class please contact Caty Marshall at 503-255-5685, x4048 for more information. Multnomah County’s school based mental health program provides health assessments, suicide assessments, ongoing individual/family based therapy, and/or referrals to other community based mental health services. The school health-based program also offers consultations and development trainings for teachers and school staff, including in-class observation, consultations for troubling/disruptive behavior, and student presentations on a variety of topics related to the mental health field.
Due to a case of Whooping cough, Multnomah County is issuing a health advisory. If students were exposed to this, and develop symptoms and Recommendations from the Multnomah County Health Department are attached in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian and Chinese.
United Way has asked for help recruiting low income, uninsured Multnomah County residents to attend a listening session about health. Childcare and a light meal are provided.

The music class starts this week! The schedule is as follows:
Mondays: (live instruction)
11:00 - 11:30: K/1
12:30 - 1:00: 2/3
1:00 - 1:30: 4/5
Tuesdays/Thursdays: recorded instruction for K - 2
Wednesdays/Fridays: recorded instruction for 3 - 5
Students can access their Music class on See Saw or Schoology
Two instrument rental nights have been scheduled:
September 14 - Beacocks will be at H.B. Lee from 6-8 PM in the cafeteria. This is for band and orchestra students to rent an instrument.
September 19 - Kennedy will be at H.B. Lee for violin instrument rentals from 6-8 PM in the cafeteria. This is for orchestra members only.

Hello Hartley Families,
As we approach the cold and flu season, we wanted to offer families some guidelines around whether or not to send your student to school if they are not feeling well. We have attached the guidelines below, along with a symptom list addressing when students should stay out , and how long they should be out of school.
