May 24, 2016

Reynolds Middle School, Sweetbriar Elementary and Salish Ponds Elementary are getting ready to celebrate construction kick-off. The schools are receiving safety and security upgrades, including more highly controlled entryways. Work will take place this summer and be complete by the time students return to school in the fall. The upgrades are made possible thanks to voter approval of a 2015 bond measure. Other bond projects include replacing Fairview, Troutdale and Wilkes elementary schools and significantly renovating Reynolds High School. All district schools will receive safety and security updates.

“These updates are the first of the major school investments envisioned by the District and our community,” said District Superintendent Linda Florence, “We are excited to celebrate the project kick-off and share plans for the school improvements.” See the full release here.
