New RHS Principal: Congratulations, Mike Anderson!

Reynolds School District is excited to announce that Mike Anderson has accepted the position of Principal at Reynolds High School! 

The feedback of Reynolds High School (RHS) families and staff was invaluable in making this decision. You asked for a principal who understands our community, who believes our students can do great things, and who knows that relationships are one of the most important aspects of the job. You requested someone who is committed, communicates, consistent, and someone who cares. Finally, you wanted a principal who “has a strong desire to ensure our students receive a high quality, equitable education.”

Over his 12 years at RHS, Mike has shown that he is that person. At the core of Mike’s educational philosophy is the belief that all students, especially those most marginalized, deserve the proper supports and systems to thrive in school. Mike believes that the educational experience of every student is one that should embrace and support their culture and background, academic choices, and the development of skills essential to achieving future pursuits well after high school. Mike has proven over many years that he believes in collaboration as an essential factor in improving outcomes for all students of today.

Mike also believes education to be the great equalizer in our society with “the power to cripple poverty, unlock unimagined opportunities, challenge systemic racism, and change the trajectory of future generations.”
