Davis Elementary Home

Ashley Furlong

Dear Davis Families,

My name is Ashley Furlong and I am excited to let you know I will be the new principal at Davis Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year.  I have been at Davis for three years.  During that time I was a first grade teacher for a year and an Instructional Coach for the past two years.  My values are grounded in equity, the ability to build relationships, and communicating a vision of inclusiveness to raise student achievement.  My goal is to ensure our classroom practices, curriculum, and building represent the values of our Davis community.  I am excited to step in this new role at Davis.  Please stop by to meet me, call, or send me an email.  I look forward to continuing our work here at Davis!

Principal Coleman and Summer Harrison

Congratulations to Davis Elementary School for winning the second place prize in the Together Counts Healthy Playground Makeover Sweepstakes. Discovery Education and Playworld Systems Inc. were the sponsors.

This sweepstakes was open to all schools across the nation, but with the hard work of Davis Elementary's secretary, Summer Harrison, Davis was selected as a winner!

The 2016-17 proposed calendars include:

  • shifting the district’s late start/early release on Wednesdays to a district-wide late start on Mondays, to be less disruptive to students and families while continuing to provide weekly time for teacher professional development and collaboration.

Please let us know what you think.
