Speech & Debate Team

The RHS Speech & Debate Team aims to improve each student's ability to critically think, listen, read, and write, as well as build a student's confidence in public speaking. Competitions are scheduled for throughout the school year. Practices involve students completing speaking exercises and games, researching current events, discussing global issues, brainstorming arguments, working with a partner, finding evidence, organizing a case, taking notes, and rehearsing debate rounds. Furthermore, students around the school may choose to get involved with the team's educational events and community service activities.
