AP Programs

Reynolds High School offers a broad spectrum of advanced courses including those in the core curriculum areas (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Languages), the Arts (Visual and Performing) and Career and Technical courses (Construction, Woodworking, Metals, Automotive, Graphic Arts, Computer Science, Early Childhood Education, Hospitality and Tourism).

Advanced Placement

With a desire to better prepare students for the rigors of college coursework and provide additional opportunities for college credit within the high school setting, Reynolds High School has developed an aligned pre-Advanced Placement (pre-AP) and Advanced Placement (AP) program. Students may gain college credit by taking the national content area AP test offered each May; scores of 3, 4, or 5 may be granted various amounts of credit depending on the policy of individual colleges and universities. For more information on Advanced Placement please consult the College Board website below.

College Now - Dual Credit Program through Mt. Hood Community College

Students participating in our advanced classes in core programs, world language and CTE may elect to be part of our dual enrollment program with Mt. Hood Community College. With the MHCC College Now programs, high school students can get a head start by earning college credit prior to graduation. Registering for college credit while in high school is a unique opportunity that gradually introduces students to college level expectations and associated responsibilities. The MHCC College Now website provides further details for their dual enrollment program. Students in individual CTE classes and programs have exceptional opportunities for skill development and career internships as well as state and national areas of competition. See your counselor for more details.

Middle College

Reynolds High School in cooperation with Mount Hood Community College provides an early college experience where students can enroll full time at MHCC and work toward HS completion while accruing college credits.  See your counselor for more details.
