Attention 6th Grade Parents
Reynolds Middle School is excited to be welcoming our new Lancers next week! This is a reminder that students from Alder, Davis, Fairview, Hartley, and Salish Ponds automatically roll up to Reynolds Middle School but parents are still required to verify enrollment via the online registration system. If you have not had the opportunity to do so, please click HERE.
All parents of incoming 6th graders are invited to attend Walt Morey's annual 6th Grade Orientation on Thursday, May 30th, 2019 at 6:00 PM in the Walt Morey gymnasium.
Parents will be able to meet teachers, tour the school, receive information on curriculum, extra-curricular activities, and the transition from elementary to middle school.

We are excited that our 6th-grade students will once again enjoy overnight at outdoor school!
Our students will be going to Camp Collins, Camp Kuratli, Camp Angelos, and Camp Namanu starting April 2, 2023, thru April 7, 2023.
Building Rockets
Students applied their knowledge of motion and force to designing a rocket experiment.
8th grade promotion will take place on June 21, 12:00 - 1:30 pm.
Join us for the 8th Grade Promotion Celebration. This year our celebration will take place on June 11, 2018, 6:00 PM, at the Ben Brooks Auditorium at Reynolds High School.

It is time to forecast for your Freshman classes at Reynolds High School. Attached below in Supporting Documents are the PDFs of the PowerPoint that teachers have been sharing with you in class, as well as a description of all electives open to 9th graders.
The deadline to forecast for classes is Wednesday, April 28.
8th grade wrestler, Elijia Mott, was surprised on Tuesday, February 16, when his hero Anthony Robles paid a visit to his classroom. Elijia and Anthony share a rare trait in a wrestler; they both have only one leg. KOIN 6 news was here to capture Elijia's surprise and delight in meeting his hero.
Performances are available on Nov. 2 at 2pm, Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 at 7pm.

All school library books are due by Friday, June 3, 2022. While our school library takes a rest during the summer, the Rockwood Library (181st & Stark) and all the other public libraries are gearing up for a terrific summer of reading and free programs! More information will go home soon, or you can stop by your closest library for more information anytime

March 8 th, 2019 Reynolds High School hosted the school's first Spanish language only dance. Abajo del Sol, the name of the event, was the brainchild of several Latino student government and leadership students. These students worked tirelessly planning the event with the schools administration. All the hard work paid off as over 250 students were treated to a dazzlingly decorated MPR, and the musical talents of local music group Banda Ciclon Del Pacifico. REYNOLDS COMMUNITY TRANSITION PROGRAM (CTP)
Reynolds Community Transition Program serves students with disabilities ages 18 to 21 as they learn and grow in their independence as young adults. It is located in Building J on the Edgefield Campus in Portland, OR.
Walt Morey Middle School is one of the three middle schools in Reynolds School District, and serves approximately 600 students in grades 6-8. It is located on SW Lucas Ave. between SW24th and SW 29th Streets in Troutdale, Oregon.
The mascot of Walt Morey Middle School is the Mustang; this symbol represents the pride our staff and students have in self, family, school, and community. The official school colors are purple, silver, and black.
Alder Elementary is a K-5 school in the heart of the Rockwood community that serves approximately 420 students and their families. We take pride in the diversity of cultures and the more than 20 home languages that our school represents. We offer a Dual Language Spanish-English Program in grades K-5.
