As a general rule, students are not allowed to bring cell phones to school, or any other hand-held electronic devices.
The Center for African Immigrants & Refugees Organization mission is to enhance social justice and achieve parity for the diverse African immigrants and refugees communities through organizing, collaborative leadership, and service advocacy. CAIRO’s four major areas of concentration are community organizing, civic engagement, leadership development and policy advocacy. CAIRO is a first year partner at RHS and currently looking to support new students and families not receiving support currently.
Challenge Day Returns to Reynolds High School
Adult volunteers are necessary to support students in this transformative learning experience. Each day we need 50 adults who can volunteer for one full day to work with students and staff. The dates we need volunteers are: November 5, 6, 7 and November 19, 20, and 21. Volunteer screening takes a few days, so call (503) 491-3428 or email today if you want to volunteer for Challenge Day.

Beginning Tuesday, January 19, there will be no meal distributions at Salish Ponds. The following locations will have meals Monday-Friday:
- Reynolds Middle School (1200 NE 201st Ave. Fairview, OR 97024): M-F: 11:30 - 1:00
- Davis Elementary (19501 NE Davis St. Portland, OR 97230): M-F: 11:30 - 12:30
- Wood Village Green (23300 W. Arata Rd., Wood Village OR, 97060): M-F: 11:30-12:30

Charter schools are innovative public schools, offering choices for families and providing greater accountability for results.
Students and parents are encouraged to check their forecasting for next year's classes using StudentVUE. Simply open StudentVUE or ParentVUE and select "Course Requests" to see the courses you will have selected for next year.
Please realize that this is not your schedule for next year. Final schedules are determined by student interest/need and building resources.
There have been five reports of students at Troutdale Elmentary having chicken pox. Three cases have been confirmed by health care providers. Multnomah County Communicable Disease Services have been notified and an advisory letter has been sent home to alert parents of the possible exposure and instruction for monitoring for symptoms of chicken pox.
Parents should inspect their child’s skin daily and monitor temperature through December 29, 2015. Children who develop a rash need to be kept home to prevent the spread of chicken pox.

Children's Health Fair 2018 will be held on Feb. 10, 2018, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, at Reynolds Middle School; 1200 NE 201st Ave., Fairview. The fair is free and is providing immunizations to all students that need them. Exclusion day is Feb. 21. If your students is not current on all immunizations they will not be allowed to attend school.
