Cell Phone Use in Schools

A work group of parents, staff, community members, and students met over the last four months to discuss the use of cell phones and earbuds during the school day. The work group came up with the following recommendation:

We recommend an all-day ban on personal device use for grades K-12. Phones and earbuds shall remain silent/off and away, in either a backpack or locker (not seen, not in a pocket, not on their person) for the duration of the school day. Documented exceptions may be granted.

The recommendation is now being sent to parents, staff, and students for feedback. Please use the link below to share your thoughts on cell phone use in schools.
