On Thursday, October 26, hundreds of RHS students attended classes in brand new, modern science classrooms. The classrooms include updated lab spaces with modern technology and is one small phase of the overall high school project. Funding for the new classrooms comes from the bond measure passed by community members in 2015. The bond work also includes replacing Troutdale, Fairview and Wilkes Elementary Schools; additional significant updates to Reynolds High School; and providing safety and security upgrades to all schools. All schools will be move-in ready by fall of 2018.
Mrs. Blucher's Social Studies classes have been learning about Native American lodgings. They put their new knowledge to work making replicas of the lodgings.
Update from Reynolds 2015 Bond Project November 8, 2017
DOWA-IBI was the architecture firm contracted for the bond improvements at Reynolds High School. At the end of September, the principal architect left DOWA, quickly followed by the project architect and other RHS project team members. Because of these issues, the District terminated its contract with DOWA effective October 26, 2017.
