RHS students are finishing up forecasting for the 2021-2022 school year.  Make sure your Naviance is updated with your plan!

Fairview Construction Update: Sod being laid at the play fields

As of this week, the southwest parking lot and bus drop off area have been completed and are being used.
The playground and soft play areas have also been completed and are in use.

Sod is being laid at the play fields. This area will remain closed until the sod is ready for foot traffic.
You may see contractors around the property doing final touches and checks over the next month.

Construction work is very close to being complete!

NOTICE: Final School Inspections Taking Place

The three new elementary schools are nearly complete! You may notice the contracting team touring around the buildings and climbing onto the roof. This is just part of the final check and inspections to make sure everything is finalized and shouldn’t affect any school activities.

With the new Fairview, Troutdale, and Wilkes Elementary School buildings already up and running, hosting hundreds of kids, it almost feels like they've been part of our community forever. But in fact, construction on these facilities just began last year. You can relive the construction process in our new time-lapse video, which show the buildings going up in under two minutes!

Eat out and raise money for Troutdale Elementary at Chipotle in Gresham on Burnside Rd. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 5 PM – 9 PM.

Author Visit!

Erin Hunter, Author of Bravelands: Blood and Bone, The Warriors Series, and more...will be visiting Troutdale Elementary's 3rd - 5th grade students on Tuesday, October 9th at 8:30 AM. Copies of her books are available for sale and will come with author autograph and personalization. See the attached order form for more information!

In the News: Reynolds School District puts three new schools on the Path to Net Zero

Reynolds School District is starting the school year with three new schools, built to offer outstanding energy efficiency and a more productive learning environment. Funded by a $125 million bond passed by local voters, the elementary schools – Fairview, Troutdale and Wilkes – are replacing older buildings and all share the same high-performance design.

In the News: Back to Class

There were lots of new backpacks, shrieks of joy upon greeting friends, nervous smiles and even a few tears around the kindergarten classrooms as students in East Multnomah County headed back to classrooms this week.

While most students returned for the 2018-19 school year on Tuesday Sept. 4, kids attending the new Wilkes, Troutdale and Fairview elementary schools opened a day late, on Sept. 5, because much of the furniture for the new schools was tardy in being delivered.
