Inclement Weather

As the weather gets colder, Reynolds School District will begin communicating inclement weather information as needed.

In the event of inclement weather, school closures or delayed start decisions will typically be made by 9:15pm the night before. Details will be communicated to local media (including TV, radio, and newspapers) via FlashAlert. Information will also be sent to families via ParentSquare and posted to the District website.

School closures or delayed start decisions will be made with a strong emphasis on keeping students, families, and staff safe. These decisions are made based on weather reports, physical drives to determine road and parking lot safety, and communications with other east county school districts.

When a decision cannot be made the night before, early morning decisions will be determined no later than 4:15am.

You can find more information about inclement weather procedures on the district website here.

At-A-Glance Profiles and Accountability Sheets

The 2024-2025 At-A-Glance Profiles and Accountability Detail Sheets have been publicly released on the Oregon Department of Education website. The At-A-Glance Profiles include graphics showing how a school compares to the statewide average in categories like regular attenders, graduation rates, median class size, and more.

The At-A-Glance Profiles were designed by and for parents and community members to be an understandable and easy-to-read overview of how schools serve their students. The Accountability Detail Sheets are more technical documents that provide information on school performance, improvement, and each school’s level of support under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

Simply type in the name of the school that your student attends and you will be able to access the At-A-Glance School profile and the corresponding Accountability Sheet. The At-A-Glance profiles are available in both English and Spanish.

Vaccine Exclusion Day Reminder

Please remember that vaccine exclusion day is approaching. Students who are not up to date on required immunizations may be excluded from school after February 25.

Immunizations are required by state law for children and students in attendance at public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities, and Head Start programs in Oregon. Read more about immunization requirements here. For help finding vaccination locations, families can call 2-1-1 for free assistance.

We'll see middle school and high school students back on Monday, January 5, 2026. Elementary students will return on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. We hope you have a safe, restful, and enjoyable winter break!
