Wilkes Free Food Market

EPHC is now sponsoring the Free Food Market at Wilkes.  The next date is Friday June 7, 4:00-5:30. Beginning in July, it will be on Wednesday, July 3, from 1:00-2:30pm, and then on Thursday, Aug 1, from 1:00-2:30 pm.

Attendance Matters at Troutdale

What is good attendance?

● Going to school at least 90% of the time, which means missing no more than 9 days for an entire year, or about 1 day per month.

● Missing two days or more per month is known as chronic absenteeism.

● We know that there are life factors including illness and family emergencies that cause students to be absent. When possible, it’s helpful to schedule appointments and celebrations outside of school hours.

Reynolds Education Association Negotiations: 2019

The current contract expires on June 30, 2020. Under Oregon's Collective Bargaining Laws, employees are covered under status quo, which means the terms of the expired contract carry forward and the financial elements stay at their current levels (hourly wages, insurance benefits, tuition reimbursement, etc remain in place at current amounts).

Halloween at Glenfair

Just a quick reminder to our families that at school on Halloween we do not wear costumes and we don't bring candy to our class.  We hope if your family celebrates Halloween that you have a great night trick or treating but at school we will not be celebrating the holiday.  Students who come in costume will be asked to call home and get alternate clothes or to wear something from our clothes closet.  Candy brought to school will be sent home and not shared with classmates.  Instead will will ask all student to wear orange and support an anti bullying campaign we are running at school.  Oran

Thanks United Health Care, the Blazers and the Dreambuilders Foundation

Last week we cut the ribbon on all the new upgrades to our gym.  Thanks to a generous donation to our school we have repainted the walls, installed new basketball hoops, purchased a new climbing wall and have a new sound system in our gym.  The look on our kids faces when they got to see all the new swag was invigorating to our whole school.  It may have only been eclipsed when they had a surprise visit from Traliblazer Anfernee Simons who came to help us dedicate the gym and shoot some hoops with our kids.  Partnerships like this can make a real difference daily for our kids and we are so
