Lead Water Testing Header

Update on Monday, July 17, 2023

Reynolds School District water tested seven elementary schools as required by the State of Oregon: Alder Elementary, Davis Elementary, Glenfair Elementary, Hartley Elementary, Margaret Scott Elementary, Salish Ponds Elementary, and Sweetbriar Elementary.

Results are posted at the bottom of this page along with regulatory requirements and technical information.

The previous action level of 20 ppb has been revised to 15 ppb. Fixtures testing above the action level of 15 ppb are not being used. Fixtures indicated as “Not Tested” are not being used.

All taps are tested with the exception of shower heads, pipes used for building heating, dedicated eyewash stations, emergency showers, fixtures in areas with no student access used solely for sanitation by staff, fixtures used exclusively for irrigation, fixtures in science and technical education classrooms (grades 6-12) where the fixtures have signage indicating they are not a drinking water source and not intended in food preparation.

Work is being scheduled to replace the fixtures and any shutoff valves that tested above the action level of 15 ppb.  Once fixtures are replaced, they will be tested.  If tests are acceptable, they will be returned to service.

The remaining schools will be tested per the State of Oregon testing guidelines and schedules.
