Career & Technical Education

Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses enable students to explore their interests, build practical skills, and prepare for success after high school—whether they plan to enter the workforce, continue to college or technical training, or both.

Through 11 different CTE programs of study from which to choose, students connect classroom learning to real-world careers. CTE courses provide opportunities to develop technical knowledge, employability and communication skills, problem-solving strategies and practical practice through hands-on learning.

Students may take exploratory CTE courses to learn about different career fields or choose to complete a full career pathway. Students who complete a deeper dive to earn at least three credits in a single program will participate in industry-specific training, earn certifications, or receive dual college credit.

CTE prepares students for high-skill, high-demand careers while helping them develop the knowledge and experiences needed to make informed decisions about their future.
