April Athlete of the Month

Reynolds School District - Oregon

Congratulations to Jake Erdmann and Olivia Woods, our April Jeff Weins Athletes of the Month!

Olivia Woods (12), Track & Field – Olivia has set the school record in the 400m and this comes off working her butt off in the off season. She truly has earned this honor. She is ranked in the top two in the conference for 400m and has a very real shot of qualifying for State. UPDATE: Olivia competed at districts and broke the record again for 400m; 59.19 and qualified for the State Championships.

Jake Erdmann (12), Baseball – Jake is a fantastic young man. He is the heart and soul of our team. He is a 3 year varsity award winner where the last 2 years he has earned 1st team all-league honors as an outfielder. This year, unfortunately, Jake tore his ACL in the 5th game of the season. He did not let this hold him back one bit. Jake went on and hit over .400 during the month of April and continued to be a solid player and hard out in the middle of our line-up. There are not a lot of kids out there that would even play through such an injury, let alone continue to excel at a very high level! This young man also excels in the classroom where he is currently sitting at a cumulative GPA of 3.63. He makes me very PROUD to be a RAIDER!!
