Support Reynolds High School Sparrow, Arayah N.
Arayah is a happy and energetic five-year-old who is kind to everyone. She loves all things arts and crafts, especially coloring. Her favorite color is pink, and she loves being a “girly girl.” At the end of February 2022, Arayah had not felt quite well for several weeks with what seemed like the flu. During gymnastics, she complained that her legs hurt, and she seemed overly pale.
Her parents decided to take her to the doctor. Within a matter of hours, blood tests came back revealing Arayah had Leukemia and she was admitted to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Her chemotherapy started the same night along with multiple blood tests, and a multitude of tests and procedures. Arayah’s first phase of chemotherapy consisted of 64 days of in-patient intermittent chemo every other weekend. In between all these procedures and treatments, she must endure spinal taps, kidney flushes and bone marrow biopsies. So far, the side effects Araya experiences have been minimal, but her journey isn’t over. She will continue to fight in the next phase of treatment as doctors carefully decide what is best.
Even after everything she has gone through, Arayah is happy, loves to play dress up and play with her Barbies. Doctors will monitor her progress carefully. Right now, she needs everyone’s love and support. Arayah will be adopted as a Sparrow to Reynolds High School. Students will work hard to raise money for Arayah through sponsored community service.
