December 2016 Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to Alexis De Jesus and Jordan May, our December Jeff Weins Athletes of the Month!

Jordan May (12), Basketball –

Jordan has been instrumental in developing the basketball program.  He has volunteered his time to teach at youth clinics and basketball camps, as well as refereeing for the Reynolds Youth Basketball League.  Currently, Jordan leads the team in scoring at 24 points a game. He is shooting nearly 50% from the 3-point line and is shooting 85% from the free throw line. Jordan is averaging 3 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Earlier in the season, he scored a career high against Madison with 32 points and then set a new career high with 34 points against Lincoln.

Alexis De Jesus (12), Basketball –

Alexis has stepped up tremendously this season as a leader on the court, always giving 100% in practice and games. Alexis has been battling injuries most of her career, but never lets it get in the way of her competitive spirit. Her biggest impact has come from the growth she has shown this season in leadership skills and keeping a positive attitude through adversity.
