Citizens Oversight Committee Required: Deadline Extended
UPDATE: Measure 26-164 was approved by Voters on May 19, 2015! The Reynolds School Board has appointed a Citizens Oversight Committee and is seeking additional members. When the School Board approved referring the 2015 Bond Election to the Voters, they required the district to be accountable to the patrons by creating a required Citizens Oversight Committee.
The Citizens Oversight Committee will consist of volunteers who agree to:
- Actively review and report on the proper expenditure of taxpayers’ money for school construction
- Advise the public as to whether the school district is complying with the ballot measure language
- Publish minutes of Citizens Oversight Committee meetings
- Issue reports to the public.
The requirements for the committee membership include:
- Must be resident of the district.
- Must be registered to vote.

Must be a volunteer and may not include any officer, agent or employee or official of the school district or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the school district.
