Oregon School Employees Association Bargaining Session Update: May 9, 2017
The second bargaining session between Oregon School Employees Association (OSEA) and Reynolds School District (RSD) was held on May 9, 2017 at the Woodland Elementary School Library at 4:00 p.m. Proposals were exchanged as follows:
The District presented counter proposals for the following two articles and one Memorandum of Agreement:
- Article 5 – Paid Leaves of Absence
- Article 7 – Emergency Closure
- Memorandum of Agreement – EA Collaboration
OSEA presented their initial proposal for the following article:
- Article 8 – Salary
OSEA also presented a counter proposal for the following article:
- Article 4 – Fringe Benefits
There was also discussion about the proposed MOU for cutting 10 days from the 2017-2018 work calendar due to the significant budget shortfall the district is facing for the 2017-2019 biennium.
Next Session:
The next scheduled bargaining session will be held on May 25, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Woodland Elementary School Library. The agenda will be determined prior to that date.
