Achievement Data
The Oregon Department of Education has a new accountability model aligned with our approved ESEA waiver proposal. As part of this accountability system, some Oregon schools received a Model, Focus, or Priority rating. However, information on student achievement and growth was provided for all schools in the state. As a district, all schools are required to have school improvement plans for each school year.
In an effort to help schools, parents, and communities understand this new system, PDF detail sheets have been produced for each Oregon school with additional information on schools’ level, achievement, growth, and other indicators. It is our hope that these detail sheets will help answer many of the questions we know you and your school communities have on this new system.
Priority School
Davis Elementary
Focus Schools
Alder Elementary
Glenfair Elementary
Hartley Elementary
Margaret Scott Elementary
This rating method places more emphasize on student achievement growth by individual student. The new system also provides additional supports to assist focus and priority schools in raising student achievement. Teams of teachers and administrators from each focus and priority school will be working together to assess performance and implement a strong plan to increase student achievement.
