Athlete of the Month

Congratulations to Harley West and Leia Braich, our September Jeff Weins Athletes of the Month!

Leia Braich (12), Soccer - Senior Captain and starting goalkeeper Leia Braich had a great September. She played brilliantly in goal and had a streach of three games where she only allowed one goal while cumulatively saving over 20 shots. She also scored her first high school goal (RARE for starting goalkeepers) in a 3-3 match against McKay when she got some rare minutes on the field.

Harley West (12), Cross Country – Harley has catapulted himself into the realm of elite runners. After working his tail off all summer (300 Mile Club) he jumped from running 5K's in the 17:15's (17:04 PR, 2014) to 16:28 this fall and several top 10 finishes! He is now 16th on the RAIDER ALL TIME TOP 20 5K list.
