Julia Silverman, education reporter for The Oregonian, spent several days in Reynolds School District this spring to take a closer look at how state funding challenges affect districts like ours. She visited multiple schools, spending time with students, staff, and school leaders to better understand how funding decisions made at the state level show up in our classrooms and schools every day. By spending significant time in our district, she was able to go beyond the numbers and tell the story of what these challenges look like for the people experiencing them firsthand.
