Troutdale Tigers Legos Robotics Team Wins Regional Competition

Congratulations to Troutdale Elementary School’s Lego Robotics Team and coaches Wendy and Mark Stevens for placing second in the regional competition during December 2013. This is Troutdale Elementary School’s first year with the Lego Robotics Team.

The students created a robot to protect pets during emergency earthquake situations. Their project was judged and scored on robot and mechanical design, project and presentation, core values and teamwork, and overall robot performance.

Next, the team will be participating in the ACE (Advancement to Championship Event) with other teams in the Lego Robotics League across the state. The State Championship Tournament will be held at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, Oregon on Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19, 2014. Good luck Tigers!
