Reynolds Middle School Remakes Weight Room with $10,000 NIKE Grant

The Reynolds Middle School weight room has seen very big changes. The remodel of the space includes installation fitness stations and benches, weight racks and weights and dumbbell sets. The space is now a full weight room and fitness center conveniently located above the gym space.

The weight room currently has the following equipment:
• 4 Olympic benches
• 2 Olympic Incline Benches
• 1400 Pounds of Olympic weights
• 4 Sets Rubberized Dumbbells (2200 pounds total)
• 2 Leg Extension Machines (200 pound stacks each)
• 8 Flat Benches
• Nautilus Leg Extension Machine (200 pound stack)
• Leg Extension/Leg Curl Combo Machine (150 pound stack)
• Nautilus Leg Curl Machine (200 pound stack)
• Cybex Leg Press (250 pound stack)
• Body Solid Olympic Hack Squat/Leg Press Machine
• 3 Lat pull/Row Machines (170-200 pound stacks)
• Weider universal Machine (up to 500 lb)
• Nautilus Compound Row Machine (200 pound stack)
• 7 Fit Express resistance machines (Chest/Back, Hamstrings/Quadriceps, Adductor/Abductor, Shoulder Press/Lat Pull, Abdominal/Low Back, Bicep/Tricep and Squats).

• 2 Roman Chairs
• 6 Tony Little Gazelles
• 2 Treadmills

The grant from Nike leveraged additional donations and volunteer assistance. This space is utilized by over 900 students in physical education classes at Reynolds Middle School.
