FREE Children’s Health Fair

The Multnomah Dental Society will reschedule its annual Free Children’s Health Fair to Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Reynolds Middle School from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. 

This important community outreach program will provide a variety of health and dental related services at no charge.

La Feria  gratis de la Salud de los  Niños  que estaba programada para el día de mañana 8 de Febrero en la escuela de Reynolds Middle. Ha sido reprogramada para el  Sábado, 22 de febrero 10 a.m.-2 pm. Este evento ofrece exámenes gratis de: tratamiento dental, vacunas, y otras  informaciones de la salud. Tendremos entretenimiento, comida y la oportunidad de ganar un 360 XBox. Por favor haga planes para unirse a nosotros el  día 22 de febrero de 10 am a 2 pm.

The School, located at 1200 NE 201^st Avenue, Fairview, will be filled with booths providing the following services:

• Dental, Vision, and Hearing screenings
• Dental Treatment –(Mobile Dental Units on site)
• Proper Dental Hygiene Instructions
• Immunizations
• Information on a variety of healthcare topics for the entire family
• Oregon Health Plan & Healthy Kids Sign up & Resources
• Lead Poison Screenings
• Nutrition/Diabetes Information
• Fire Safety
• Head Start Information
• Many other community resources
• Food will be provided

Each child attending will receive a “goodie bag” that includes a toothbrush and toothpaste and information on taking care of their teeth.

In addition, there will be entertainment and prize drawings, including the grand prize of a Xbox 360.  Children do not need to be present at the time of the drawing to win.

The Fair is being held as part of the American Dental Association’s nationwide program, Give Kids A Smile.  The objective of Give Kids A Smile is to mobilize the nation’s dentists during the month of February (National Children’s Dental Health Month) to provide free oral health care services to thousands of low-income children.
