Oregon School Employees Association Bargaining Session Update: December 18, 2014

December 18, 2014 OSEA Negotiations Update:

The meeting was held in the Woodland Elementary School Library from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Timothy Welp, OSEA Field Representative presented a verbal proposal on behalf of OSEA.  After several side bar conversations to reach resolution on the few outstanding items, The District and Oregon School Employees’ Association (OSEA) were pleased to reach a tentative agreement.  The District and OSEA began these negotiations on May 29, 2014 and both teams worked very hard and collaboratively throughout the nine months of negotiations to address those issues that were most important to both sides.

A final proposal will be presented to OSEA membership for ratification in early January.  Details of the settlement reached will be forthcoming from OSEA after the break.

Following approval by OSEA, the agreement will be submitted as an action item for School Board approval at the January 14, 2015 regular business meeting.
