2015 Youth Led Anti-Violence Summit Grants

The Multnomah Youth Commission's Youth Against Violence Committee (YAV) invites youth in schools, after-school programs, and within community organizations to apply for up to $1000 to develop a youth-led mini summit against violence. The MYC is able to offer a set number of grants to classes, student groups and community youth groups who want to take ownership over issues of violence that affect them and lead a project to make community change.
 
The following criteria must be met in order to be considered:
  • Fully-filled out application (attached) - written by youth.
  • Project must be a Youth-led mini summit specifically about violence.
  • Project relates to one or more of YAV's policy recommendations, which are tied to seven different forms of violence and Restorative Justice (included in application).  Gang/Police, Sexual/Dating and School/Bullying are current priority areas for the YAV. 
  • Summits need to be completed by Friday, May 15, 2015
