December 2017 Athlete of the Month

Kayley King (11), Basketball

Kayley is a 3 year varsity letterman and last year was a Mt. Hood Conference Honorable Mention player. Ten games into the season this year, Kayley has already played every position on the floor. She has accepted the role of team captain and her hard work in the classroom with a 3.8 G.P.A sets a great standard for the younger players in the girls basketball program.

Jonas Woody (12), Wrestling

Jonas currently holds a 7-4 record, with two of those losses coming to last year’s state placers. Jonas has been working harder than anyone else in the mat room to improve his skills and it is showing in his level of competition. Jonas also provides the team with leadership. He is not always vocal, but his actions speak volumes. He has worked well with the younger wrestlers and has been leading them in the right direction.
