February 2019 Athlete of the Month

Jayla Dieter (10), Swimming –

Jayla has had a great swimming season, nearly qualifying for state and coming in third in both of her individual events at the district meet as a sophomore. She also performs well in the classroom with a 3.71 GPA. Jayla always comes to practice ready to go and is happy to lead the girls team by example with her great work ethic. Jayla is truly a great athlete and dedicated student!

Dade Kimmel (12), Wrestling –

Dade has matured significantly over the last two years both in the classroom and on the wrestling mat, with his biggest jump coming this season. He works hard in the mat room, competes at a high level and is one of the leaders of the team. Dade placed second in two tournaments this season, placed second at the district championships and qualified for the state meet. At the state meet, he had some great matches, competed well and was one match away from placing. On top of having success on the mat and in life, he turned his school work around also and earned a 4.0 GPA for first semester this school year.
