Dear HB Lee Families and Staff:
This is to keep you informed that the Reynolds School District Board of Directors approved an adjustment to the HB Lee Middle School academic calendar for the 2021-2022 school year. This change affects days immediately after the winter break. With this new calendar, HB Lee Middle School students will not attend school or have classes on Monday, January 3, 2022, and Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Students will return to school for classes at the regular start time on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

During those non-school days for students (January 3-4, 2022), teachers and support staff will be participating in collaborative staff development sessions focused on developing social-emotional learning lesson plans for advisory classes and care and connection activities for when students return. By allowing staff the time to develop a shared understanding and focus on emotional wellness supports for students, we hope to limit any future disruption to effective student learning in the 2021-2022 school year.
Meal pickup will be offered curbside at the school for any HB Lee student who would like to pick up a meal on Monday, January 3rd and Tuesday, January 4th from 11:00am to 12:00pm.
We understand this change may place a short-term hardship on our families. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, and we appreciate your patience as we work to support all students at HB Lee Middle School! If you have any questions, please contact the school directly.
