Courses

The variety and depth of coursework offered at H.B. Lee Middle School is designed to meet the diverse needs of all students in our school. 

Students in all grades are enrolled in Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Heath and Physical Education.

Students have the opportunity to choose elective courses. 

  • All 6th grade students participate in Introduction to AVID and Technology 6. Other electives include Band, Choir, Orchestra, Art, Introduction to Spanish, Spanish for Spanish Speakers, and Social Psychology.

  • 7th and 8th Grade electives include Leadership, Band, Orchestra, Choir, Art, Graphic Design, Beginning Spanish, Spanish for Spanish Speakers, Exploring Technology, Engineering and Design, Computer Applications, Lego Robotics, Social Psychology, Teen Living, Introduction to Culinary Arts, Teacher Assistant, Office Assistant, Library Assistant

  • A full-year AVID course is provided for 7th and 8th grade students selected through an application process.
