Community Knitting Event

Lunchtime Knitting Group Reaches Out to Community by Hosting its First Community Knitting Event.

Fairview Elementary School has a lunchtime knitting group for its students. On Thursday, November 3, the group reached out to host its first community knitting event. They invited mothers, grandmothers, aunts, friends and lunchtime knitting alumni to attend a Night of Needlecrafts.

Participants brought current projects or began new ones.

Five brand new knitters attended the evening and began learning to knit!

Group members were so excited by the event, they decided that community knitting events will now be held on Thursday evenings, January 12 and March 8, 2012 from 6:30-8:30 pm. For more information, call Tami Pemberton at (503) 667-2954.
