ART

Our Art classes offer the opportunity to learn about various mediums in the art world and explore their use as a creative outlet.  Art History, style and perspective are included as part of this rich curriculum.

AVID

Advancement Via Individual Determination—this is a two semester college-preparatory class.  Students who are selected for AVID are typically in AVID classes throughout their secondary school experience.  To be selected for the program, students must meet the minimum criteria for selection and must have been referred by either a teacher or a counselor.

THEATER

RMS offers semester-long Theater Survey classes as well as a full-year Advanced Theater class.  Advanced Theater students must have had the Theater Survey class and are selected via a rigorous selection process.  The expectation is that the Advanced Class will produce two performance-quality plays each year.  Advanced Theater is only offered for the 8th grade.

STEM

In STEM students learn about science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on projects and experiments. Students get to explore design, computer science, robotics, and learn to apply STEM to the arts while working collaboratively with their peers.

COMPUTERS

In this foundational computer skills course, students will enhance their keyboarding skills, learn beginning block coding, and use presentation software to create engaging projects. Digital citizenship, internet safety and computer maintenance will also be included in this course.
