Four groundbreaking events celebrate new elementary schools and RHS improvements

Wilkes, Troutdale and Fairview elementary schools are getting ready for construction to begin on brand new schools on the existing sites. Reynolds High School will receive significant renovations and additions. Work will start during spring break and will be completed in phases, with final completion by fall 2018. The upgrades are made possible thanks to voter approval of a 2015 bond measure. All district schools will receive safety and security updates.

"It is important to celebrate these schools as we move into construction, say goodbye to the buildings that have served students for many years and look forward to the opportunities the new buildings and improvements will bring," said District Superintendent Linda Florence.

Come Celebrate With Us!

The District is hosting four groundbreaking celebrations in March. The community is invited to meet the architects and contractors and learn more about the new schools and improvements. The events will include student performances and refreshments. Interpreters will be available. More information about the bond projects is available on the website: www.reynolds.k12.or.us/bondprojects.

About the Reynolds School District Bond Projects
The District is designing and constructing major improvements to our schools, offering a fresh start for students and faculty. This work includes replacing Troutdale, Fairview and Wilkes Elementary Schools; significantly updating and adding to Reynolds High School; and providing safety and security upgrades to all schools. Funding for these projects is provided by a bond measure passed in 2015. All schools will be move-in ready by fall of 2018.
