Reynolds School District selects Bremik Construction, LCG Pence Construction, Skanska USA as general contractors for school bond construction projects.

General contractors have been selected for the Reynolds School District 2015 Bond Projects. LCG Pence Construction will make major renovations and additions to Reynolds High School. Skanska USA will replace Fairview Elementary School and Wilkes Elementary School. Bremik Construction will replace Troutdale Elementary School and construct safety and security upgrades in all other district schools.

The three new elementary schools will be built on their existing sites while students continue attending their current schools this year and during the 2017/2018 school year. Old schools will then be taken down and outside fields / play areas constructed in their place, while students attend the new schools.

Additions and renovations in Reynolds High School will be staged to allow students and programming to continue within the school during construction.

“Completing these major projects successfully with minimal impact to students and staff is a complex puzzle with many moving parts,” says District Superintendent Linda Florence. “The District selected the contractors based on their ability to uphold the highest standards of safety during construction and to deliver the projects on time and within budget.”

Local and Diverse Contracting

The Bond Projects general contractors have committed to actively recruit local workers and subcontractors and meet diversity goals by hiring members of traditionally underrepresented populations. They will also provide opportunities to connect student learning with the Bond Projects.

“The District is committed to setting our community up for success on these projects and beyond,” explains Superintendent Florence. “The general contractors are working in conjunction with the project’s Local & Diverse Partnerships Program to provide employment and learning opportunities to our students, community members and local businesses. We are doing everything we can to maximize community benefit from these major projects.”
