Troutdale Elementary Students Helped by Safety Record

Hamilton Construction Donates New PE EquipmentReplacing the I-84 Sandy River Bridge in Troutdale is expected to take two to three years. Students at Troutdale Elementary School were waiting for two years to take a physical education (PE) class, and now the students have new equipment for those new PE classes.

Hamilton Construction generously donated $2,500 to purchase needed PE equipment when the crew on the job-site reached 50,000 work hours without an on-the-job injury. President Scott Williams and Vice-President Bob Sherman announced the community donation at an employee recognition lunch in September 2011.

Thanks to an outstanding safety record by Hamilton Construction employees, who are working to replace the bridge, and a generous heart by the company, students are playing with new balls, volleyball and badminton equipment and more.
