Reading at Home is Important

Reading is important and the only way to get better is to practice.

La lectura es importante y la única manera de mejorar es practicar.

To keep progressing as a reader, it is very important to read at home every night. The goal should be 30 minutes per night at your independent reading level. If you are a yellow, green, blue, or 1 Red reader, it is fine to have a family member read to you for 15 of those minutes.

Para seguir progresando como lector, es muy importante leer en casa todas las noches. La meta debe ser de 30 minutos por la noche a su nivel de lectura independiente. Si usted es un lector amarillo, verde, azul, o 1 Lector rojo, está bien que tenga un miembro de la familia que le lea por 15 de esos minutos.

If you do not have books at home or cannot get to the library, please contact your student(s)’ teacher to make arrangements to have books come home.
