Davis Elementary Wins Playground Makeover!

Congratulations to Davis Elementary School for winning the second place prize in the Together Counts Healthy Playground Makeover Sweepstakes. Discovery Education and Playworld Systems Inc. were the sponsors. 

This sweepstakes was open to all schools across the nation, but with the hard work of Davis Elementary's secretary, Summer Harrison, Davis was selected as a winner! 

Davis received a $5,000 grant to help with their playgrounds makeover. Davis' new principal, as well as staff will be working with the district to come up with a plan for the $5,000 and how it would best be utilized for students' needs. The plan is to get this process started this upcoming fall when students return from summer break.
